Common name: Sea Lavender
Botanical name: Limonium perezii

This mounding shrub will reach about 3' high and has large, dark green leaves with small blue and purple flowers that bloom in spring and summer. Very hardy and outstanding perennial for water wise gardens. Tall clusters of tiny, deep mauve flowers are produced throughout much of the year. Ornamental foliage is evergreen and forms an attractive, rounded mound.Can be mass planted for low maintenance areas or low, edging borders.

Mueller's Fescue

Common name: Mueller's Fescue
Botanical name: Festuca muelleri

This Central European native fescue has shiny, dark green, thin blades that are slightly bluish green. It is a cool season grass that grows up to 8" tall and wide. If massed together, it can become a lawn alternative. Flowers appear in early summer but are considered insignificant. This fescue does best in full sun with moist, well draining soil. In warm inland areas, it appreciates afternoon shade. This clumping plant is drought tolerant once it's established.

Silver Wormwood

Silver wormwood is a fast growing shrub to 6' tall by 8' wide. Soft, silvery foliage is a good contrast to the dull yellow flowers produced in spring. It is tolerant of a wide range of climates and soil conditons although it is a little cold tolerant to 25 degrees F.

Kleinia

Botanical name: Senecio mandraliscae

Kleinia is a spreading succulent and ground cover that grows to about 6" to 18" tall with florescent blue green foliage. The ice plant like leaves are long and slender.It is from South Africa and works well in Mediterranean gardens. It is good in most sun conditions and can take very little watering or regular garden watering making it very adaptable for garden design. It performs best with full sun and regular water. Once it is established it is very drought tolerant. It is easy to propagate as are many succulents. Any section of the plant broken off and dug into the soil will reroot.

Kangaroo Paw 'Yellow'

Botanical name: Anigozanthos 'Yellow'

This herbaceous perennial can reach 4'-6' tall and 2'-3' wide. Kangaroo Paw has strap-like leaves and fuzzy tubular-shaped, yellow flowers that bloom in spring and fade as summer progresses. They can be used for cut or dried flowers. The flowers have nectar which attract hummingbirds. Kangaroo Paw does well in full sun and looks great in borders, mass plantings, and in pots. It can do well in drought tolerant conditions. It prefers sandy soil and deep, infrequent watering.
