Amethyst Mist Coral Bells

Common name: Amethyst Mist Coral Bells
Botanical name: Heuchera 'Amethyst Mist'

This perennial will grow 1'-2' tall and 1.5' wide. It has medium sized, broad, purple leaves that have a silver sheen. Tiny white flowers appear on thin stems above the foliage in late spring and early summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. This mounding plant tolerates coastal areas, filtered sun and partial shade. Give afternoon shade in warm, inland areas. It does best with regular watering and well draining soil. Great plant for cottage gardens, woodland settings and perennial borders.

Pratia pedunculata has bright green, nearly stemless, 1/4" leaves. In late spring and summer, these form a backdrop for equally tiny, star-shaped pale blue flowers.
