Botanical name: Heuchera 'Amethyst Mist'

This perennial will grow 1'-2' tall and 1.5' wide. It has medium sized, broad, purple leaves that have a silver sheen. Tiny white flowers appear on thin stems above the foliage in late spring and early summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. This mounding plant tolerates coastal areas, filtered sun and partial shade. Give afternoon shade in warm, inland areas. It does best with regular watering and well draining soil. Great plant for cottage gardens, woodland settings and perennial borders.

This magnificient plant can used as a small tree or shrub. It is deciduous with graceful leaves which have a scarlet color in spring as it leafs out. Leaves later turn orange or yellow in fall. It is slow growing to 20', and requires shelter from the hot sun. The leaves of this tree are small, light green in color, and deeply lobed. It should also be noted that this tree remains spectacular throughout all seasons.

Variegated Sweet Flag is a low laying, ornamental grass with yellow green colored blades. Acorus calamus commonly called sweet flag is a deciduous, spreading, marginal aquatic perennial that features iris-like, sword-shaped leaf blades (to 3/4" wide) typically growing in basal clumps to 30" tall. Mature leaves have one slightly wavy edge and a prominent midrib. Plants thrive in wet, boggy soils and are commonly grown today as foliage accents in water gardens and pond margins. Flowers may give way to tiny fleshy berries. Foliage and rhizomes are sweetly fragrant when bruised, hence the common name.
