Silver Mound Artemisia

Common name: Silver Mound Artemisia
Botanical name: Artemisia sch. 'Silver Mound'

Aptly named, 'Silver Mound' has soft, feathery foliage and forms a compact, silky, cushion-like mound. It has many applications in the garden including: edging, rock gardens, pots, or a filler plant for hot, dry areas. It has long been one of the most popular silver foliage plants. 'Silver Mound' combines especially well with dark leaved plants such as Sedum 'Purple Emperor' or with other silver foliage plants like Stachys 'Silver Carpet'.

Gold Spot Euonymus

Common name: Gold Spot Euonymus
Botanical name: Euonymus japonicus 'Aureovariegatus'

This reliable shrub can quickly reach 10' tall and 6' wide, thus used as a hedge or screen. This plant does best in full sun (even in some desert areas) but requires regular watering and more during hot summer months. Foliage is evergreen, somewhat oval shaped, yellow-centered blotches surrounded by dark green edges. It tolerates coastal conditions. Flowers are considered inconspicuous.

Rosemary

Rosemary is hardy in full sun areas where winter temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees F. Rosemary is evergreen and makes a great aromatic hedge, 4'-6' tall and 2' wide.
