'Pacific Sunset' is an open and spreading evergreen shrub that quickly reaches 20' tall and wide. Leaves are evergreen and gray green. Deep orange yellow, large flowers appear in spring, attracting bees. It does best in full sun and well draining, sandy or rocky soil. It looks great if espaliered. No summer water required after it's established.

Toyon is a California native evergreen shrub that grows 8'-15'. high and spreading 8'. It has leathery, toothed, green leaves. Small, white, fragrant flowers appear in late spring or early summer, followed by clusters of red winter berries. It tolerates full sun or partial shade, heat, smog, wind and heavy or light soils. Established plants are drought tolerant. It may take several years for plant to be established; at that point, it's great for erosion control.

Prune after bloom period to keep this shrub looking dense. Grevillea is sensitive to salt accumulation so it's important to drip irrigate for hours on this plant to leach out salt once a month. Do not fertilize with phosphates.
