“I've used PlantMaster since it came out - and have used the upgrade for over a year. I love the program. Pure and simple.
I appreciate having control over the information I decide to use - and having such a good format to put it in - and so do my clients.
I make booklets using PlantMaster details of all the plants I use in a design. It gives me the opportunity to share what
I consider the important information about a plant, and to reinforce what I consider to be basic care that any plant/landscape needs.
I also add pages about irrigation and composting and healthy stuff.
Living in Chicago I find myself adding my own photos or downloading photos from the internet. I love it!
Often I find that my own photos are better than anything I can find.
I visited with a client, a real estate agent, for whom I had designed and installed a prairie style garden in the front of
her 100 year old brownstone (the prairie and the brownstown worked so well together), and a raised vegetable bed and fun
garden in her backyard. We were talking about the gardens and, unsolicited, she offered up,
'I love the booklet you made of the garden. I refer to it often to understand the care it needs and who the plants are.'
We talked on about the garden. Here was a woman who was not a gardener, surprising herself at how much she was
learning about her new gardens and how much that learning was attaching her to them in a very personal way.
I was moved and pleased and charmed.

I have known Gerry Kiffe since those early years in the 1990’s when PlantMaster was being developed and perfected, and have always admired his enthusiastic and unwavering dedication to the landscape profession. From the beginning I have used (and contributed to) PlantMaster. It has been both an indispensable tool for my Garden Aesthetics landscape plans, as well as dependable software for my students at Portland Community College where I’ve taught design for the past 20 years. I particularly like the fact that you can customize it to fit your particular needs, add your own photos, and create a wide range of templates and plant reports. It provides a necessary consistency to my plant lists, and fits well into the total design package that should accompany a professionally designed landscape plan. 
I didn’t actually share with you how successful your little picture books are with my clients, the women especially love them. Which is good for business.
