Tree roses are actually shrubs that have been grafted or grown in a way that looks like a tree, ie with a trunk. Tree roses can be floribundas, hybrid teas, or grandifloras. They are typically used as specimen plants, found in a variety of colors, typically blooming from spring through fall especially in frost free areas. Make sure the plant is tied to a stake in case of strong winds. Roses prefer full sun with well draining, fertile soil.

This shrubby perennial is grown mostly as a ground cover since it reaches 18" tall and spreads up to 5'. It has oval, hairy leaves that are 1" in length and dark green in color. It produces a variety of bright blue, 1 1/4" wide flowers with yellow centers, resembling daisies. In cool summer areas, this plant may act as an annual, blooming from spring through fall. In hot summer places, plant in full sun but with afternoon shade. It will only bloom from spring through midsummer. It does best in well draining soil. It does best with regular watering. It does not tolerate hot humid areas. It attracts butterflies.
