Botanical name: Salvia clevelandii 'Winnifred Gilman'

The 'Winifred Gillman' Sage is a dense, compact shrub that grows to 4'-5' tall and wide, and has a round form. It has blue purple flowers in spikes above the foliage in summer. This sage has gray aromatic foliage. Plant in full sun with well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established but will look better with occasional deep watering.

This is a great patio tree or for a small front yard.

Robinia X ambigua 'Purple Robe' is a deciduous tree that grows 30'-40' tall and 20'-30' wide with compound green leaves. Trunk and branches have thorns; will break easily in windy conditions. It requires full sun, low watering (drought tolerant), and will live in most soils except for wet. It has pink, wisteria-like, fragrant flowers that bloom in spring, attracting bees. Purple brown seed pods follow bloom period. This tree grows quickly and suckers; it is useful on hillsides or reclamation areas.

Mexican Sage

The Mexican Sage is a bushy shrub that grows 3'-4' tall and wide. It has hairy white stems, grey-green leaves and velvet-like purple flower spikes that bloom summer through fall. This shrub tolerates sun, light shade, little water, and is hardy to 15 degrees F. The Mexican Sage attracts hummingbirds. Be careful not to overwater. -Cornflower Farms

Flower color depends on the cultivar. It can quickly reach 6' tall and will climb over nearby plants. Looks great on trellises or arbors. It tolerates full and part sun, preferring well draining, moist soil. Needs regular watering.
