This attractive shrub quickly reaches 4'-5' tall and wide. Leaves are deciduous, bright green, and thin, profusely covering the plant. Red orange, tubular flowers intersperse the foliage in summer and fall, attracting hummingbirds. This plant has low water needs once it's established but will flower more if given summer irrigation. Plant in full to part sun. Prune heavily after bloom period to shape plant and increase density.

Furcraea foetida 'Mediopicta' - A close relative to the Agave, this usually trunkless succulent can reach a size of 5 feet tall with an 8 foot spread with green 4 to 7 foot long wavy sword-shaped leaves that lack any spines. A decorative creamy band occurs down the middle of the leaf. The flower stalk reaching to 25 feet tall produces strongly-scented greenish-white flowers attractive to bees. Flowers are followed by small plants that cover the inflorescence as the basal plant dies. It performs best in filtered light, and watered infrequently.

This is a compact evergreen shrub that grows to 5' high. It has white flowers and red fruit throughout the year. It is also a very clean, colorful , deer resistant shrub. Prune by removing random interior branches. Create an airy appearance. Do no sheer. Perform in winter.

A small, mounding grass with yellow-green leaves that reaches 12" high. In the fall, it sends up narrow flower stems that have a silvery-white inflorescence. When planted in masses, it has a striking appearance. It is drought tolerant.
